I’ve just finished reading my friend’s first book Secret Diary of Porter Girl. I loved it, despite her publisher letting her down in the editing department. I’ve a damned good mind to demand satisfaction on her behalf by challenging her editor to a duel to the death with sharpened quill pens as the weapon of choice!
A Brilliant read

Who would have guessed that the hallowed halls of a staid English university, even a fictitious one, could be the setting for murder and intrigue? I loved reading this, especially the understated humour. It is the first work by the English author Lucy Brazier. Clearly she has put so much of her former incarnation as a real Deputy Head Porter in a well known Oxbridge university, into her alter ego’s daily life. Well done Lucy. I look forward to your next book…
