Food for thought

You have to begin to wonder just how much fact there is among the vast amount of disinformation, fantasy, and accounts of sightings of alien life forms in this day and age. Thanks to the paranoia mainly created by the hidden agendas of various governmental groups in countries like the United States, Great Britain, France, and Germany, as well as the former ‘Iron Curtain’ countries, it becomes increasingly more difficult to sift out the truth.

Have you ever stopped to think how quickly we have advanced since the turn of the century? It wasn’t all that long ago, we were reliant on the horse and cart, candles, and sailing ships; the list is endless. Since the end of the Second World War, we have experienced a technological leap beyond the normal rate of progress for mankind.

Over the past 25,000 years, man has slowly but surely advanced…

  1. Gods, Aliens, or Nature at work?
Mankind has always invoked ‘Outside Influences’ (Gods, Aliens, etc) when faced with something they cannot understand or label in any other way
But when we see some people, like the so-called ‘Idiot Savants’, or 5 year-olds, who can do amazing things like paint complex works of art, compose classical music, operas, or solve complex mathematical ‘problems’ inside their heads, we are seeing tiny parts of the potential of the human mind and intellect at work.
I always wonder ‘Why’ evolution gives us these glimpses.
It’s certainly NOT so we can continue destroying each other for the stupidest of reasons (like religions), or ruin our environment in the pursuit of technological advances (like deep mining for rare materials, destroying the surroundings in the process), or feel so superior over all the other forms of life on our planet, then expressing surprise when we learn that other creatures can think, remember, use tools, solve puzzles, communicate together and possibly with other life forms, etc – that includes flora as well as fauna!
The more we learn about nature, the more we realise we DON’T know.
Life on our planet is widespread and covers such a spectrum, it would not surprise me if we are only one small part of an experiment by nature, to find a form of life that will maintain it’s drive to sustain and propagate itself while enhancing its environs.
Are we alone in the universe?
I don’t think so for one moment.
Why have we not been ‘Officially’ contacted yet?
Because we’re still a ‘Work in Progress’
    Will Humanity survive?
Not unless we ‘Grow Up and become Adults’ regarding how we act and think.
Sorry Jack, I didn’t intend to get on my box about this, but the more I see the direction Humanity is taking, the less I like what I see.
