Canine considerations

I was thinking about Ollie last night, and that led me to think about loved family pets, and the simple life that most of them lead.

Ollie doesn’t care what is on TV, or whether he didn’t get to see the latest blockbuster film.

He is oblivious to who won the Man Booker prize, or what everyone says we ‘should be reading’.

He knows nothing of world events, the Korean crisis, or Donald Trump.

He doesn’t even know we are in the EU, or that we are leaving it.

Ollie has not travelled the world, and knows nothing of life outside of here, or some parts of the UK.

He cares nothing about owning the latest camera, best new phone, or huge TV.

He will happily eat the same food every day, content that he has a full belly, never eating more than his fill.

He doesn’t need to drink…
