I know the scoreā€¦ I know the signsā€¦ thereā€™s no way sheā€™ll decieve me,

Sheā€™s running round and packing bags, which means sheā€™s going to leave me.

She wanders way too often for my liking, I must say,

Sometimes sheā€™s hardly here for long before sheā€™s on her way.

ā€œBut, girlie, I must go to work, to earn our daily bread.ā€

I wish that sheā€™d stay home andĀ  just play ball with me instead.

ā€œWe cannot,ā€ she will frown and say, ā€œdo everything we please.

Unless I go to work, thereā€™ll be no tennis balls or cheese.ā€

Well, okay then, that part I getā€¦I donā€™t mind telling you

Iā€™ll let her off for working, ā€™cause it covers chicken too.

But what about the times she loads the bags into the car?

You donā€™t need tons of suitcases if youā€™re not going farā€¦
